You can also talk directly to local companies about jobs. They are often on the look out for keen new employees, and will be able to advise you on training options.
Many employers in the civil sector require you to have a drivers license. A basic license (Class 1) allows you to up-skill to other grades of licenses such as Heavy Transport and Wheels, Tracks and Rollers once you are working.
The most important thing is to have a positive attitude and to be prepared to give it a go
