The Chair of Connexis, the infrastructure ITO, Frances Hague announced her retirement recently.

The Board of Directors would like to thank Ms Hague for her dedication and efforts as inaugural Chair of Connexis.  The Board were especially grateful for her wider endeavours in the sector and stakeholder groups around Women in Infrastructure. Her exemplary service bought rigour and recognition to the organisation in its formative years.

Ms Hague said “It has been both challenging and very worthwhile overseeing the merger between Infratrain and ESITO to form Connexis in 2013. Growing the organisation over the last five years to secure our niche with coverage of the civil, electricity, telecommunications and the water sector was the highlight of my governance contribution to a sector I have long been involved in.

I am particularly proud of our leadership in attracting and retaining young women into our industry with our Ultimit – Girls with High-vis® brands.

I am retiring confident the organisation is well placed to successfully serve the needs of the infrastructure sector into the future”.

As Chair, Ms Hague has overseen the development of the organisation reflecting the importance of the essential services that infrastructure provides New Zealand and the training required to staff and manage these vital industries.

The incoming Chairman is Brian Warren who has been a Director of Connexis since 2013 and is Chairman of the Remuneration Committee. He is the Immediate Past President of Civil Contractors New Zealand and previously Chief Executive of Isaac Construction.
