ELIGIBLE FEES AND REFUNDS for TTAF trainees
ENROLMENT FEES
Trainees currently enrolled in TTAF eligible programmes who
a) Enrolled in training from 01 July 2020 will not be invoiced. These invoices will be on-charged to TEC.
b) Enrolled in training after 01 August 2019 and prior to 01 July 2020 are eligible for a pro-rata refund of the July and August 2020 enrolment fees. TEC is working through the refund method and once this detail is available, Connexis will be in contact and process eligible refunds.
ANNUAL FEES
The annual service fee, normally due on the anniversary of a trainee’s enrolment is now covered by TTAF. Connexis will now on-charge Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) for any training fees and annual service fees for ongoing TTAF eligible trainees up till December 2022.
ASSESSMENT process and FEES
External assessment fees, for all TTAF eligible assessments undertaken from 01 July 2020, are covered by TTAF.
Assessments can be arranged in the normal manner with a registered Connexis Assessor who holds the appropriate unit standard/programme scope for the trainees enrolled programme.
Assessors will now invoice Connexis for all assessment fees for trainees on TTAF eligible programmes. On-site assessments are permitted under TTAF funding rules. However, if an on-site assessment is required, the costs that are additional to the assessment such as travel will need to be covered by the trainee/employer directly.
Eligible for a refund?
Trainees who have had assessments completed and paid for from 1 July 2020 through to August 2020 are eligible for a refund.
Note assessment and other training fees undertaken prior to 1 July 2020 are not TTAF eligible and will not receive a refund.
