At Connexis, we regularly review our programmes and micro-credentials to ensure they meet industry needs. We do this in partnership with industry groups through a co-design process, and your input plays a vital role.

From time to time, we invite wider industry voices to contribute through short surveys. Your feedback helps us improve training pathways and ensure they reflect real-world skills and experiences.

New Zealand Certificate in Electricity Supply (Operation) (Level 4) (Hydro)

Version 2 of the New Zealand Certificate in Electricity Supply (Operation) with an optional strand in Hydro Operation (Level 4) was published in 2023 following a scheduled review with following minor changes:

  • Wording to the Strategic Purpose Statement and Graduate Profile Outcomes (GPO) to improve clarity.
  • GPO Credit values amended to reflect current practice.

Connexis is required to update the current Programme to the latest version to reflect the changes made to the qualification and is requesting endorsement from industry that the existing programme will continue to meet the needs of people who work within the Electricity Supply industry.

Industry consultation undertaken endorsed the current programme as remaining fit for purpose with the addition of a unit standard exemption table (see here).

Please note that focused reviews of unit standard content/outcomes are beyond the scope of this process, but any such feedback you provide will be collated and raised with the incoming Industry Skills Boards.
