Connetics’ Southern Depot in Cromwell is growing, and we’re looking for a Design Engineer to complete the team and help us continue to provide our top-notch design, project management and consulting services. Supported by the Design & Engineering Team in Christchurch with the autonomy of a regional depot, this role brings the best of both worlds.
With a head office in Christchurch and our regional depots in Cromwell and Tawa, Wellington, Connetics are responsible for constructing and maintaining overhead and underground lines and equipment across these locations.
- Technical understanding of electricity distribution networks, including design in overhead lines, 11kV/400V substations, underground reticulations, substation and protection systems
- Proven design experience
- Electrical Engineering qualification (desired)
- Contract negotiation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills
- The ability to work well in a team
- A familiarity with AutoCAD
This role requires a dynamic, customer focussed person who works well in the team from end to end process. You’ll work from concept design through to completion, taking in client liaison and design, so you’ll be a practical, customer-focussed person who can get on site and understand the balance between design and constructability.
