Tier 1 NZQA Training Provider
TRAINER/ASSESSOR – Telecommunications
iSkills is an industry leader in training and competency management for infrastructure sectors, focusing on Electricity Supply, Gas, Water, Civil and Telecommunications.
Due to growing high demand for our services and business expansion we are looking for an experienced telecommunications technician with a background in Fibre and/or Transmission to join our team and be trained to deliver qualifications and short courses.
This position is based in Tauranga and will require travel throughout New Zealand on a regular basis.
As Trainer/Assessor, you will be coaching and mentoring candidates to successfully complete all projects embarked upon and delivering engaging and relevant training courses to improve workforce performance, as well as assisting in the design of high-quality training and assessment resources to NZQA and industry standards. You will be a confident and engaging trainer who ensures customer needs are met. Having integrity, being solutions focused and the ability to deliver on deadlines are the keys to success on our team.
We need a team member who has:
Extensive experience in the Telecommunications sector with specific experience in Fibre Optics and/or Transmission.
Strong written and oral communication skills
Superior relationship skills and ability to work well in a team environment
An understanding of various industries including Electricity Supply, Infrastructure Manufacturing and Telecommunications is desirable but not essential.

Demonstrated knowledge of adult education principles and practices
Knowledge of NZQA and NZQF
An understanding of adult learning or instructional design principles
Experience in design and development of educational resources to industry standards
