Mō tēnei tūranga mahi: About this role

Reporting to the National Field Team Manager, this role is a 12 month fixed term position which is responsible for leading the South Island field team to achieve business plans, sales targets and educational performance indicators.  Key areas of focus include:

    • providing support to the South Island team to continue to provide consistency of service, deliver on budget and meet the required performance indicators
    • playing a key role in the Customer Engagement (CEG) management team and supporting your fellow members in delivering consistent national service standards and outcomes
    • promoting industry training and overseeing the successful uptake, progression and growth of Industry Trainees and New Zealand Apprentices in the industry

The ideal candidate will take high-level ownership for their business relationships and provide leadership, direction, and motivation for a high-performing team.

The role holder will also champion and promote our organisational culture through our TORK (Team, Own, Real, Kind!) behaviours.

This will be an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader with a genuine desire to achieve results.  We are looking for someone who will have:

  • experience in team management and in leading teams through change
  • proven account management, new business development and sales skills
  • strong relationship management skills with the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • experience in working collaboratively and thinking both strategically and tactically

While there is preference for this role to be based in Christchurch, we are open to this role being based elsewhere in the South Island for the ideal candidate.
