Whenua iti SCHOLARSHIP

Helping our ākonga reach their full potential

OUR 2025 WHENUA ITI SCHOLARSHIP IS ABOUT PROMOTING THE NEXT GENERATION OF LEADERSHIP IN THE INFRASTRUCTURE INDUSTRY.

As the infrastructure industry grows, strong leadership is becoming increasingly important in the workforce. We want to equip our ākonga with the skills and experience required to take the next step in the industry.

Connexis is offering scholarships valued at $3,500. This will cover the Whenua Iti course fee and essential travel, arranged by Connexis.

This is possible thanks to The Infrastructure Education and Training Charitable Trust grant that Connexis was awarded in 2025.

Whenua Iti Outdoors - Journeys of discovery

An experience designed to build self-confidence, cultural connection, and sense of belonging.

The Rangatira Development course is a five-day programme designed for emerging leaders. Set in the stunning Abel Tasman National Park, this course strengthens leadership capability through active learning, challenges, and cultural connection.

Participants will grow their confidence, resilience, and self-awareness in a unique bi-cultural environment. Through hands-on experiences and guided reflection, the programme builds stronger relationships and a deeper understanding of Te Ao Māori.
